APEX VOICE COMMUNICATIONS HOLDS LAST 2006 QUARTERLY TRAINING SEMINAR IN LIMA, PERU- Over 35 Participants from 4 Countries Attend 3-Day Seminar on SIP Application Server - LIMA, PERU, December 19, 2006 - APEX Voice Communications, a worldwide supplier of Application Servers and Multi-Service Platforms for enhanced services, unified messaging, real-time billing, and value-added IP multimedia services, recently held its last 2006 APEX Training Seminar from November 27th through 29th, this time in Lima, Peru. With over 35 participants from 15 companies, including telcos/carriers, banks and utilities companies, the 3-day training seminar held in Spanish focused primarily on APEX's VoIP/SIP-based products, highlighting the industry-leading OmniVox3D® SIP Application Server. With representation from Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Colombia, participants were immersed in training sessions on APEX's latest products. Each participant had hands-on involvement with products such as the OmniVox3D SIP Application Server, the APEX Multi-Service Platform (APEX MSP™), the OmniView® Service Creation/OAM&P Environment, and the OmniVoXML® Media Gateway. At the end of the Seminar, the participants were divided into groups with each group developing a variety of applications to better understand the real-world implementations of the various products. Additionally, each participant received a certificate of training and free licenses for OmniVox3D, Intel HMP and Nuance ASR for attending the Seminar. "Overall, the APEX Training Seminar gave us both basic and specific information on how to development new applications using the OmniVox3D Application Server," said Manuel Para, Telecom Director for MB de Colombia. "Additionally, we learned how OmniVox3D integrates with strategic partners such as Cantata and Nuance, broadening the type of applications we can develop." The APEX Training Seminar in Lima was co-sponsored by two of APEX's Technology Partners - Cantata Technologies, a worldwide provider of media gateways and media servers, and Nuance Communications, the leading provider of speech and imaging solutions. Locally, the Seminar was sponsored by Novatronic, an APEX Value Added Reseller and systems integrator specializing in banking, telecommunications and government solutions in Peru and Bolivia.
