APEX VOICE COMMUNICATIONS HOLDS QUARTERLY TRAINING SEMINAR ON SIP APPLICATION SERVER- 64 Participants from Four Countries Attend 3-Day Seminar in San Jose, Costa
Rica - SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA, September 27, 2006 - APEX Voice Communications, a
worldwide supplier of Application Servers and Multi-Service Platforms for
enhanced services, unified messaging, real-time billing, and value-added IP
multimedia services, recently held another one of its Quarterly Training
Seminars from August 29th through 31st, this time in San Jose, Costa Rica. With
64 participants in attendance, the 3-day training seminar focused primarily on
APEX's VoIP/SIP-based products, while also providing for hands-on experience
using the OmniVox3D® Application Server. With representation from Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador and the Dominican
Republic, the seminar's main technical track was complemented by a marketing
track, allowing for participants to choose their area of expertise. The
technical track focused on product training, as well as directly working with
the OmniVox3D Application Server. The hands-on portion of the seminar divided
the participants into eight groups, where each group developed and tested a live
application. Specifically, the groups developed a prepaid recharge application,
complete with database lookups, for a SIP-based network. "As an APEX Value Added Reseller, this seminar was very useful to us, said
Carlos Gil, Director of Ingenieria Avanzada of Guatemala. "It gave us a broader
view of what the APEX product line can provide to the customers we cater to and
also provided us with a thorough understanding of implementations in SIP
networks." The marketing track provided the participants with ideas on the various types of
applications and services that can be implemented on the APEX Multi-Service
Platform (APEX MSP™) using the OmniVox 3D Application Server. Participants were
exposed to a multitude of enhanced services applications that are implemented
around the world on APEX platforms, and various case studies were also shared.
On the last day of the seminar, participants in the marketing track joined the
participants in the technical track where the prepaid recharge application was
developed. "This seminar was very useful in that it provided us with more information on
all the additional benefits our client, ICE of Costa Rica, can receive from
their existing APEX MSP, "said Carlos Polonio, President of Excetel an APEX VAR
in Costa Rica. "Additionally, ICE is currently in the beginning stages of SIP
implementation and knowing all that can be done in SIP networks with the APEX
platform is very important." APEX Voice Communications' upcoming Quarterly Training Seminars in Latin America
will take place in Lima, Peru in November 2006 and Monterrey, Mexico in February
2007, with other seminars slated for the United States and Europe.
