APEX Voice Communications

Overview

Packet-based Telephony has shifted the method of delivering application services, signal processing and other types of media services to the Application Server. From simple prompt reproduction and DTMF interaction to complex Automatic Speech Recognition and Text-to-Speech processing, Application Server tasks vary widely and provide specialized services on scalable, open platforms that are based on industry standards.

Since different services require different levels of media processing, distributing these service requirements from the central application element provides true scalability and high performance, freeing the centralized switching processor to better manage specific tasks.

APEX’s family of products provides a robust and scalable platform that is based on industry standards and a true open architecture, designed to provide the entire spectrum of media services on TDM legacy and/or VoIP-based packet switched networks.

The APEX Multi-Service Platform (MSP) and the OmniVox3D Application Server Software provide the full support that most advanced TDM and Packet-based technologies require to provide top quality customer interaction, including:

  • OmniView® Service Creation
  • Automatic Speech Recognition
  • Text-to-Speech
  • LDAP / IMAP Messaging
  • RADIUS & Real Time Billing
  • Fax & Conferencing
  • ODBC/SQL
  • SS7 / AIN
  • SIP / H.323
