APEX VOICE COMMUNICATIONS RENAMES THE CORE
ELEMENT OF ITS MULTI-SERVICE PLATFORM
- OmniVox3D™ More Accurately Reflects Scope of Product -
WOODLAND HILLS, CA, January 16, 2006 - APEX Voice Communications, a leading supplier of multi-service platforms for enhanced telephony services and real-time billing solutions worldwide, today announced that it will change its OmniVox AES product name to OmniVox3D to more accurately reflect the scope of the product. The new OmniVox3D product name is also accompanied by an updated product logo with an italicized typeface, suggesting forward movement, and the use of the color red, which is associated with energy, power, strength and determination (see below).

The new OmniVox3D name and logo builds upon the strong brand equity of OmniVox, which started back in 1989 and has always been synonymous with the industry's leading call/media processing product. OmniVox has always been APEX's core product and with the recent introduction of the APEX Multi-Service Platform (MSP), it continues in that tradition as the core element of the APEX MSP.
3D was selected as it reflects the product's three core functionalities of Designing, Developing and Deploying (3Ds) revenue-generating enhanced telephony services. Also, as the market continues to evolve, OmniVox3D will integrate the triple-play of voice, video and data, the 3 Dimensions of Telephony. Additionally, OmniVox3D evokes a descriptive, positive image of the product and implies forward-thinking and technologically cutting-edge.
"The new OmniVox3D name and logo take advantage of the high brand awareness we've built over 17 years with our award-winning OmniVox products," said Elhum Vahdat, executive vice president of APEX Voice Communications. "Trusted by service providers, carriers, developers and enterprises in over 90 countries with more than 15,000 installations, the OmniVox3D name has an enviable starting point."
